Wedding Planning | Day of Coordination | Custom Decor

This is the wedding that started it all

My own wedding. The most important day of my life. Not only did I marry the man of my dreams, shout out to my hubby J.r. (love ya babe). But I learned so much in the planning process, and it planted the seed in my mind to one day choose to leave the career I thought I wanted, and start this new endeavor as wedding planner. I DIYed most of my wedding, as a way to save some money in our budget, and for me to control more of the details and get exactly what we wanted.

Another simple DIY project I did was the table numbers decor. For the table numbers and I bought blank chalkboards and with my Cricut, designed and cut out vinyl lettering and numbers for the signs. I used the same two fonts, and the laurel leaves for everything, to keep it cohesive across all the signs I made.

We bought mason jars to use as vases for the baby's breath (which we ordered with the sunflowers for our bouquets from Sam's Club), and spray painted them with sea glass spray paint. We also bought small votives, and painted them with glitter.

I designed the monogram for our cake topper on my computer, then cut it out of a few layers of cardstock on my Cricut, and glued them together on some lollypop sticks.

One of the big DIY projects I took on was all of the signage and decor. This one right here, I did instead of having programs printed. We had a larger bridal party, not huge but we had 6 bridesmaids and groomsmen, a best man, a maid of honor, and our officiant was one of my husband's best friends as well. We also had a junior bridesmaid, and three flower girls. I used my Cricut to design the sign, cut the words out of vinyl, and stuck them to wooden signs.

My bridesmaids and I made all of our bouquets, we ordered the flowers from Sam's Club and the night before my wedding, we each made our own bouquet. I also made the tutu's for my flower girls out of strips of fabric, tulle and elastic.
